A few honest notes
Round drills are quicker to place.
Canvas ships rolled in a sturdy tube. Lay it flat under a few books for an hour before you start and the adhesive will behave.
A clear sealant (sold separately) keeps everything locked in once the last drill is set.
Made in small batches in the Pattern & Prisms studio. If anything arrives short or off, send a note and we'll make it right.
A drill pen that actually feels like something. The handle is hand-poured marbled resin — every one is a little different, so the swirl pattern in your photo isn't quite the swirl pattern that arrives at your door. The metal placement tip is weighted just enough to keep your hand steady through a long color block.

Why a resin pen is worth it
If you've been working with the plastic pen that came in your kit, the difference is immediate. The resin handle has a little weight and a little grip, so your fingers stop cramping on long sessions. The metal tip picks up drills cleanly and lets them go cleanly — fewer wax re-loads, fewer drills that won't release.
Tip swap is easy. The 1/6" thread is the industry standard, so if you eventually want to add a 2-drill, 3-drill, or 5-drill multi-placer tip, they'll thread right onto this same pen. One handle, a small library of tips, done.
